frittenwerk comes to the Berlin Food Court

Frittenwerk, the French fries manufacturer, is opening a new 100 square meter branch in the Food Court of the Mall of Berlin in Berlin-Mitte. The opening is planned for the end of November 2020. It is the first store of the Düsseldorf-based family business in the capital.

Founded in 2014, the fast food chain Frittenwerk brings Canadian snack classics as well as new street food ideas to the 2nd floor of the Mall of Berlin. The menu is inspired by the streets of Quebec and Canadian "Poutine", which translated means "mess". Instead of a blob of ketchup or mayonnaise, the Fries at Frittenwerk garnished with toppings and sauces.

Frittenwerk relies on a lot of wood and greenery for the interior. And as green as the Frittenwerk looks from the inside, so The concept is also sustainable. The family business relies on fresh potatoes, vegetables and meat from regional farmers and traders. Fresh ingredients completely without additives and flavor enhancers live a conscious food culture. More than 60 percent of all orders in the fryer plants are vegetarian. The vegan offer becomes therefore continuously expanded. Plastic products are not used. There are 20 branches throughout Germany.

In the immediate vicinity of world-famous sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag and Holocaust Memorial, the Mall of Berlin offers a unique urban mix of shopping, gastronomy, hotel, entertainment, office and residential. The shopping and experience center, which opened in 2014 on the former site of the Wertheim department store, comprises a total of approximately 76,000 square meters of retail space, approximately 12,000 square meters of hotel space and approximately 30,000 square meters of living space. With over 300 shops, one of the largest food courts in Germany and an extensive program of events, the Mall of Berlin attracts around 22 million visitors from Germany and abroad every year.

The Mall of Berlin is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
